Sydney’s Story
Sydney grew up in Portland, Oregon. Growing up she loved spending time in nature, dancing and theatre, and eventually found her love for pottery. She moved to Bend to get away from city life and become more grounded in nature during college. Finding her place amongst the mountains and river, Bend quickly felt like “home” to her. She studied business at COCC and worked in various studios during this time. She began selling her work at markets and boutiques around town before opening her own business, Synergy Ceramics, in June of 2020.
Andy’s Story
Andy Benish was born outside of Boston, Massachusetts and spent the majority of his childhood split between the suburbs of Atlanta and Chicago. Andy grew up snowboarding on hills in the midwest. His love for the mountains grew when he took a ski trip to Bend to visit family friends. He decided then and there he would move west for college- and years later he did! He studied business at OSU cascades and is currently teaching at Cascades Academy, as well as helping run Synergy Ceramics alongside Sydney!
Our Story
We met in September 2019! Immediately hitting it off, we began creating fun memories together from day one. After almost six years falling more in love with each other every day, Andy proposed on the Oregon coast in August 2025. Now, we are getting married- also on a beach! Our shared love for the mountains, entrepreneurship, travel, music, dancing and a million other things contribute to our love for each other. Most of all, we are just glad to be each other’s friends and look forward to spending the rest of this life together!

Accommodations!
We’ve booked two accommodations for the wedding party and other friends. They are a close walk to each other and the beach- located in the 5th of December zone downtown!

Family and other friends are welcome to book other accommodations! We did our research for months to find the best places that were affordable for many yet also have that Mexican charm that we love.
2 Houses. 2x the Fun.
Finding the perfect place to accommodate everyone is difficult, with that said we have found the perfect place to host the majority of our friends. Located in the 5th of dicemeber zone we have already rented two similar villa’s. Both equipped with rooftop decks, dip pools, views, numerous bedrooms/bathrooms and did we mention it is affordable?!
